I am so so so so excited to be writing this post!
On Saturday 2nd August we took a family trip to Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter. I have basically been counting down the days since receiving the tickets for my birthday in June!
Our tickets were booked for a 3 o’clock tour and I assumed there must be a time limit, but there isn’t! You can spend as long as you like in there. Apparently someone actually spent 13 hours in there!!
For me the experience started outside the building with cinema like screens and large statues. Inside the building I didn’t even mind queuing because it gave me time to really take in all the thought that had gone into this place. Above our heads, all the way around the building were photos of the characters over the years and even a flying car! Just before we went into the pre-show cinema room our journey through the 10 years of filming began with the cupboard under the stairs.
We were then taken into a pre-cinema room where we were given a brief introduction to the tour. In this room there were posters of all eight of the films from all over the world! How cool is that?
We then moved through to an actual cinema where we sat and watched a short film about everyone who was involved and their journey which was told to us by Harry, Ron and Hermione. Scarlett loved this as there was fast moving objects, lots of bright lights and sound!
We were now free to explore at our own pace. So now I will bombard you with photos from our day!
If you haven’t been already, I really recommend a trip. You can book tickets here.
If you have been, what was your favourite part? Mine was the castle at the end, it truly is magical!
