Well that flew by. It was only last week I was writing your six month update. I cannot believe you are seven months old already!
Ok so I had written about how you are so close to crawling and here I am editing it. Because tonight (18th April) you got up and crawled. You had been so close for days and now you seem to have it mastered! I’m both excited for you and nervous for me. You kept me on my toes when you were just dragging yourself about!
I’m not sure if you are going through a leap (although Wonder Weeks says your not due one for a few days yet) but the last few weeks you’ve cried. ALOT! It has made getting anything done near on impossible and it seems to only be when we’re at home. I’m starting to think that maybe you just don’t like where we live! You make me feel terrible when you cry but sometimes I need to do things for your sister. If I could sit and cuddle you all day believe me I would!
Weaning has been going well and you really seem to have turned a corner lately. It was only a few weeks ago that I was worried because you seemed to gag on everything including yogurt! I mentioned it to the doctor and she said you have quite large tonsils so I almost went back to pureeing everything. I’m glad I didn’t though because you seem to really be enjoying your food and its so lovely to have you eat with us. You have however had your first taste of chocolate and chip shop chips because you have the grabbiest of hands and you’re just too quick! Whenever your big sister is eating anything you make your way over much to her dismay. Now that you are eating you have dropped back down to having 7oz of milk every 4, sometimes more, hours.
Sleep is still going very well although you have started getting up quite early in the morning. Tonight you have gone to sleep in your sisters room for the first time but I’ve left your snuzpod up incase you ever want to come back into my room! That first nap of the day is still very important and I’m trying to make your naps a bit longer in the hope it will cheer you up a little.
You are still wearing 3-6 month clothes but I have begun putting you in a few of your 6-9 month clothes. They aren’t too big on you but I’m just not ready to admit you are growing up. You were only my baby for what feels like a few days! I guess that’s what happens when you’re a younger sibling!
As always you make me so so proud. You are such a little poppet and you still have those big baby blue eyes 🙂
