“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” – Kahlil Graham
Well I survived James being away the week and is it ok for me to say that I actually enjoyed it? Ok so I did miss the social interaction but having one less person to tidy up after was nice!
On Sunday we were invited to Chessington World of Adventures for their howl’o’ween event. I haven’t been to Chessington for years so I wasn’t sure how much the girls would enjoy it – but they both had such a great day out! I think Little S’ favourite thing was the Room on the Broom story time whilst Baby L mostly enjoyed the picnic haha!! No jokes aside she loves animals so being able to walk around close to the animals made her day 🙂
My Little S was an absolute angel last week whilst I was solo parenting. With a poorly baby sister she missed out on a lot of attention but she took it on the chin! She must have had a little growth spurt because some of her clothes are a little short on the legs and she’s looking like a proper little girl now!
I had to snap a photo of this and include it because usually she is so scared of animals when they come near her. But on Sunday she actually approached the goat and stroked it! She never fails to amaze me with how she overcomes most obstacles!
Boy am I glad to be seeing the end of this hand, foot and mouth that seems to be spreading like wildfire! Poor Baby L has really suffered this last week. On Sunday night she spent literally every 30 minutes screaming out in pain. Then on Monday she came out in a rash on her nappy area and mouth! It wasn’t until the Tuesday that they appeared on her hands and feet. It broke my heart seeing her in so much pain but I’m glad to be be nearing the end!
I hope you all had a lovely half term week and are back embracing the routine!
