“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” – Kahlil Graham

Can you believe another weekend has been and gone? I’ve found that since I’ve returned to work all I do is wish away the time. Forever wanting it to be any day but the day it is! So my goal for this week is to live in the moment as much as possible and I’m hoping that will give me something to photograph too.

I just love this sweet little face. Daddy is away again this week so we are going to make the most of it and have lots of sleepovers! She is a total Mummy’s girl at the moment. Always wanting to snuggle up and telling me how much she loves me. I am just so so proud of the little girl she has become <3

Oh how I wish this blue eyed babe could join us for a sleepover but she wriggles far too much! If you ignore the dribbly top then I’d say this is pretty perfect. She is growing up right before my eyes! I love the way she tries to join in with her sisters play and dances when she hears music. Oh and she knows where here teeth are now, thanks to me checking her mouth everyday waiting for this pesky tooth to finish coming through!

I am feeling all the guilt at the moment with their Daddy being away. I’m not sure that I am being enough for them but I’m unsure what more I can do! This parenting malarky is a total minefield but I love them and sometimes thats enough isn’t it?

The mum guilt is hard to escape, isn’t it? We set ourselves such high standards as parents, but I think some days you have to accept that we have done our best and not beat ourselves up for the things that didn’t go to plan. I’ve just bought ‘The little book of mindfulness’ and it’s all about little things you can do to help live in the moment, its one of my missions too! Good luck with yours, and I hope you get a well-deserved break soon x

Of course you’re enough! But it must be quite hard too having to be everything and do everything. I know how I feel when my husband is on shifts but away is so much harder. They really are growing up so fast at the moment! x
