“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” – Kahlil Graham
Well didn’t that week just zoom by? I was so busy trying to make Baby L’s day perfect that I didn’t actually find time to do much else! My routine slipped and I haven’t been getting enough time for myself or enough sleep. This little blog of mine has been neglected too so I’ve been showing it some love (you may have noticed the Christmas header!!) but haven’t actually written anything in over a week!
Little S has been so excited for Baby L’s naming day. Everyday she has asked if its her naming day yet! She was an absolute star and didn’t mind one bit that 90% of the attention was on L.
I’ve been having fleeting moments of “oh my goodness how lucky am I to have such a well behaved, sweet little girl” to “oh my goodness her attitude is appalling and she’s driving me insane!!” She is certainly what I would refer to as a threenager. But in other news she is so excited for Christmas. She has asked for a cry baby (lord help me!) and one of those little hatchimals! I’m intrigued as to what others tell their children RE Father Christmas? Little S knows that Father Christmas brings her some toys and the rest go under the tree from Mummy & Daddy.
The star herself. This is Baby L on her naming day! This dress is the one her Auntie Larlie wore at her baptism and that Little S also wore on her naming day. She looked immaculate before leaving the house, managed to keep herself looking fairly presentable for the service and by the end of the after bit she looked like someone stumbling home from a night out. One sock and shoe off, hair band falling in her face and food stained clothing! Lucky she’s cute yay? But she did absolutely amazing considering she’s used to having a mammoth sleep in the morning.
This weekend has left me feeling ever so proud of both my girls and so much love for all those they both have in their lives. I did have a bit of a wobble and feel bad for Baby L because there aren’t many people who actually make an effort to be apart of her life but actually I’ve realised that she doesn’t need lots of peoples love because she is loved ever so much anyway!
