Living Arrows

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” – Kahlil Graham

I’ve had yet another lovely week with my girls. The weather definitely has an impact on my mood! We’ve enjoyed trips to the library, sunny, but muddy walks and quality family time! I feel ready to take on this week.

My chosen photos for this week are bath photos. Bath time is my favourite time of the day. There is something so special about watching them splash about! Plus whats better than a fresh smelling hug?

I love this photo of Little. Her perfect profile! The braids. Ahh she is just amazing! The way she is with her baby sister makes me so proud. She is not a fan of sharing her toys with her but she is learning. Just as she has learnt to share her time! There are often times when jealousy surfaces but the majority of the time she is the best big sister and makes me so proud.

Bath time has always been a favourite of Little’s too. It’s her time of calm or at least it was until Baby came along. Her bath time is now spent begging Baby to stop splashing her because she doesn’t want her hair getting wet!!

As per usual her smiles are directed at her big sister. Her sister comes before everything – even milk! If Little is in the room Baby needs to see what she’s doing. I’m certain she misses her when she’s not here!

Baby loves her bath and we often have to cut it short due to over excitement. She trashes about so much that we have to be on hand to catch her as she arches off her little seat! She pretty much soaks the whole bathroom and I’m sure I would be drier in the bath with them!!

Is it just me or do the girls look awfully similar? I’ve never noticed before! I thought they looked very different but clearly as Baby is growing she’s looking more and more like her sister!

  1. has baby tried to dive off the bottom of her seat yet because of all of the splashing? we posted about baths last week, I now realise why wetrooms were invented!

  2. They do look really similar actually. So cute that they love taking baths together. N now has a shower – so we have less play but a lot of singing! #livingarrows

  3. I love bath photos, there’s something so cute about them! I can definitely see a lot of similarities in the two of them – isn’t it funny how just one photo can make you realise? I wish our baths were as enjoyable as this – they’ve become a bit of a battleground lately! #LivingArrows

  4. I can definitely see the similarities between them. It’s funny though as I think that other people see them more than you do as a parent. Partly because they do not know the individual personalities like you do. People say the same about my two yet I don’t think they do at all! #LivingArrows
