#Mummy Monday | Making Hand & Footprints
I have linked up with #MummyMonday over at Mummy Bloggers. For the second week I am going to share with you our ink prints!
Yesterday we finally got round to printing Scarlett’s hand and footprints. We have been meaning to do it for ages because my partner, James, would like to get her hand or footprint as a tattoo and he didn’t really want a size 5 foot on his body!!
We used a giant ink pad in silver
from Hobbycraft and an old towel to protect the floor, even though it says it is washable.
Scarlett was not to sure about the ink on her feet, but this was the easiest part! We literally stood her up in the ink pad and then again on the paper. Her hands were not that easy!!
Trying to get her to put her hand flat in the ink was a mission in itself, without trying to get her to then place her hands on a piece of paper!! Lets just say it took a few goes to get one that actually looked like a hand.
However we survived and have got 2 prints of both hands and 2 prints of both feet. Plus the ink was washable as it said on the tin (it did leave a bit of a glitter to her hands and feet – nothing a bath didn’t cure!).
I cannot wait to be able to show her how small her hands and feet were! So adorable.
Below is my favourite one.. Daddy, Baby and Mummy hands!! <3
What did you do with your children to create memories? I love sentimental things so ideas would be great. Thank you in advance.
