My Top 5 Pregnancy Essentials

I loved being pregnant and I had a really good time of it. I was really lucky as I had no morning sickness or any other pregnancy symptoms. If it wasn’t for my ever expanding belly and little kicks I would of doubted I was even pregnant! So I didn’t really need a lot during my pregnancy, so here are my top 5 pregnancy essentials.

My Pregnancy Pillow
I suffered with SPD during my pregnancy so my pregnancy pillow was a life saver for bed time as it really relieved my pain to have my leg raised. I didn’t buy an expensive one I just brought one from Argos and it was in the sale when I brought it as it is again now.

My Massive Bottle of Orange & Mango Squash
I have always drunk lots and it is very rare that you will see me without a drink (a soft drink of course!). I drunk even more when I was pregnant and I would have been lost without my big bottle of Orange & Mango squash, robinsons of course. It had to be Orange & Mango because for some reason I went off all other flavours!

Bio-Oil
Although it didn’t actually stop me getting stretch marks it helped keep my stomach soft and moisturised as sometimes it would hurt from where my skin was stretching. It was also nice to massage into my stomach!

Seven Seas Pregnancy Vitamins
I’m sure these (well not these exact ones as there are many types) are every womens pregnancy essentials as it is essential that we get the vitamins we need. I used Seven Seas as I got a free sample and they just worked for me so I continued to use them.

A Comfortable Bra & Clothing
There is nothing worse than feeling irritable and having uncomfortable clothes! Jeans were a must have for me and I brought quite a few pairs but my favourite were from New Look. I didn’t buy many maternity tops I just brought stretchy clothes in a size bigger. However jumpers (as it was winter) I did buy maternity and again mainly from New Look although H&M also have a good maternity section. I wore my nursing bras as they were just so soft and comfortable. I got them from Marks & Spencers.

What were your pregnancy essentials? Did Bio-Oil work for you?
