We were recently invited to Paradise Wildlife Park and were delighted. If you hadn’t guessed by now we love nothing more than finding days out in Hertfordshire, or surrounding areas. We hadn’t been to Paradise since Little S was a little girl and it is so much bigger than I remembered.
Little S is at that stage where she actually asks to have her picture taken. “Mummy take a picture of me with the Gorilla!” On arrival we were greeted with lots of parks/play areas that Little S didn’t know where to look. She manages to sniff out parks/play areas wherever we go. We decided that we would have some lunch and then find the animals before playing and I am so glad we did because the weather didn’t hold out for very long.
There are so many amazing animals at Paradise Wildlife Park. James was most excited about the white tigers and white lions. We were so lucky that we got right up close and personal, as personal as you want to get with a tiger of course! You can also watch big cat feed which we planned to do but our plans got rained off!
The only show we did manage to watch was Wings of Wonder, although that was a bit touch and go with the rain! Baby L was mesmerised watching the birds fly over and she actually sat still throughout the whole show – and this does not usually happen!
I’m gutted the weather didn’t hold out for us because I really wanted to do the Woodland Walk and Little S wanted to check out the outdoor water park. But I guess it gives us a reason to return when the weather is a bit better!
So if you’re looking for days out in Hertfordshire, I would definitely recommend a visit to Paradise Wildlife Park. I did think it was a little pricey but actually there is so much to do there you could easily make a whole day out of it!
