18 months old, I cannot believe it! It’s weird because I feel like you’ve been apart of our family for a lot longer than 18 months but it also feels like only a few months ago I was adjusting to life with two! The last update I wrote for you was when you became a one year old. Boy have you changed since then!
You are so active. Forever running, jumping and climbing. I have to have eyes everywhere with you! Your favourite thing is to run free. Especially when we ask you to come for a nappy change!! You definitely have a character!
I mentioned tantrums in your last update and lets just say they’ve ramped up slightly. You know exactly what you want and if you don’t get it you will screech, stamp your feet and if needs be throw yourself on the floor!! Although you aren’t quite talking yet (you have a few words like Mama, Daddy, Nanny, poo, cheese, NO, up, yeah, etc) you are able to communicate with us, for the most part! But we do have lots of moments of frustration and you’ve taken to biting. I remember your big sister going through this so I’m hoping it will just be a phase.
Speaking of phases, you seem to be waking earlier and earlier of a morning. Anything beginning with a 6, no matter what time you go to bed! But you don’t just wake up, you wake up screaming so that the whole house (except Daddy!) is awake too. You still have your two naps a day, most days but I think we will start trailing one big nap in the hope it stops those early mornings.
You are at that age where you’ve learnt that you can wind your sister up and you love it! You know exactly what to do to get a reaction and you play on it. Sometimes you can play so lovely and then I see that glint in your eye and you’re screaming at each other! However you do love each other and it is so lovely to watch you play alongside each other. Another relationship I have loved watching blossom is that of you and your Daddy. You are becoming a right little Daddy’s girl and probably prefer him to me when he’s at home!
Your cheeky little personality is just so beautiful. You are so full of fun and mischief and although sometimes its overwhelming, it is just so uplifting! You bring joy to everyday. I cannot believe that in another 6 months you will be 2 years old!!
As always I love you all the way to the moon, and back xxxxxxxx
