I am an influencers dream when it comes to anything cleaning related. There was only really one thing missing from my cleaning cupboard (come cupboard of things that don’t really have a home) and that was a cordless vacuum cleaner! AO kindly sent me the Hoover Freejet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner to try and to say I was exited to try it would be an understatement.
But did it live up to my expectations?
At first glance it was perfect. It is super lightweight, compact, easy to store and easy to clean (a massive bonus with a hoover!). It covers both carpet and hard floor and has funky lights to ensure you don’t miss a spot. The first 24 hours waiting for it to fully charge were the longest! Charge time after the first charge is only 12 hours so can leave it to charge overnight and it will be ready the next day.
The rotating brush easily pops out so any tangled hair can be cut free which is a big positive for us Mums who are still suffering postpartum hair loss 2 years later!
It has a maximum run time of 30 minutes and at first I would say it was longer than that but I have been using it for a few weeks now and I wouldn’t say it lasts the full 30 minutes which is a bit of a shame. We only live in a 2 bed maisonette so just under 30 minutes is okay for a quick run over but for a deep clean I have been heading back to my corded hoover.
The dust capacity is 0.5 litres and it is very easy to empty, which is something unusual for a bagless hoover, in my opinion. I do however feel like I am emptying it mid way through a hoover as it does get full up quickly. But maybe my children are just overly messy!
When I first started using this cordless vacuum I was very impressed with the suction when used on the carpet setting. However I do feel that the more I have used it the less powerful it has become. I wasn’t a massive fan of the hard floor setting as there was very little suction and it just pushed the bigger bits of mess around.
However that being said, I absolutely love using it as a handheld. Usually after every meal I was having to drag my big heavy corded vacuum out but now I just use this handy cordless vacuum! It comes with a crevice tool and dusting brush which has made my half yearly mattress deep clean a doddle. Plus it makes two little girls very heavy as they are able to help!
So in conclusion, although I won’t be getting rid of my corded vacuum, this lovely little cordless vacuum has a place in our home and with an RRP of only £99 I think it will in many more homes too 🙂
Do you have a cordless vacuum? If so what one and how do you find it?
