Family Day Out | Waddesdon Manor

If you follow me on instagram you will see that we took a trip to Waddesdon Manor or Hoddesdon as my iPhone named it! It was free to explore thanks to Heritage Open Days.

Sadly tickets to the house had run out by the time we got there 🙁 in all fairness we didn’t go until about 2pm! But there was plenty to see without entering the house.

As soon as we got there we went and had a picnic near the Parterre and Fountains. Scarlett looked so grown up sitting on the picnic blanket tucking into her treats!! It was such a lovely place to have a picnic, surrounded by beautiful flowers and statues (Scarlett found the statue of a lady with her booby out rather funny!!).

We also visited the Aviary which again was beautiful. They had a water display that spelled out words in water, how cool is that?!

As we went quite late in the day we didn’t have enough time to explore all of the grounds as there is just so much to see. We will definitely be taking a trip back and will hopefully be able to go inside the house too!

Just one more thing.. How beautiful is the Dairy to get married? Take a look here! James if you are reading HINT HINT!!
