Life Lately | November 2016

Now that we are in December I thought it would be nice to reflect on all that we did in November. It was our second full month as a family of four and I think its safe to say we settled into quite a nice routine.

The Girls

They are both doing so well. Little still attends Nursery on a Wednesday and is really enjoying it. She has started talking about her friends and telling me about her day! I look at her and see a little girl. Her speech is amazing and she is so knowing of everything going on around her. We have started attending a Playgroup in our local village which she loves. I think she’s going to be very artistic when she’s older.

Baby is just lovely. We are getting into more of a routine in regards to sleeping and I am reading the signs of tiredness better. She absolutely adores her big sister and spends most of her day watching what she’s up to. November was the month for her first immunisations and my goodness they were tough. She coped with them so well but me on the other hand. I nearly cried!

The Girls

With the weather the way it is we are struggling to get out the house apart from weekly commitments. I’m cautious of getting stuck in a rut so once the Christmas hustle is over we will be making more of an effort!

I have rejoined slimming world just as I did last November and have already lost 9.5lbs. Hopefully I’ll be a stone lighter by Christmas!

Our Local Childrens Centre hosted a Postnatal Group which I went along too. It was great to talk to others with babies around the same age as Baby and I learnt quite a bit too!

As mentioned above we haven’t really been up to a lot. We spent an afternoon at the RAF museum but it wasn’t really Little’s cup of tea. It is a good place to visit if you want a cheap day out!

I also took the girls to see the Christmas lights switch on in my Nan & Grandad’s village. We used to go every year as children and with it being the first year with neither of them here I just had to take the girls. James was out that night so I actually took them by myself. That was an experience!

This month I have felt more involved in the blogging community. I have been joining in with more linkies and interacting with others on social media more. I’ve installed the yoast plugin and been putting more effort into the posts I write – hoping this shows! In an ideal world I would love to take my blog further but I’m happy with just plodding along recording our family memories.

This was our November! December has barely started and were already exhausted! Next time it will be January! Can you believe that?
