Little Loves: Happy Mum, Warmer Days & Enjoying Ourselves

Little Loves: Happy Mum, Warmer Days & Enjoying Ourselves

I always mean to join in with Little Loves but I just don’t do enough to write about weekly. So I’ve decided I’m going to join in once a month or just when I feel I have something to share. This past month has been a busy one which is very unlike me!

I have finally finished reading ‘After You’ and I’m so gutted it is over! Jojo Moyes has such a way with words so I think I’m going to add her other books to my reading list. My lovely girls (AKA James) brought me Happy Mum Happy Baby by Giovanna Fletcher for Mothers Day and I have already made a start on it. I can already tell its going to be an easy read!

I have really enjoyed spending time reading so I am looking for other recommendations. Romance, feel good stories and well anything really!

Beauty and the Beast. My word! Such a beautiful film. I nearly cried. Tears of joy and tears of sadness! Oh it’s just so lovely. I’ve been trying to plan a million beauty and the beast themed parties since. I just want to be Belle for a day. I already have my beast 😉 sorry James!

I finally got round to watching ‘Me Before You’. Yet another beautiful film! I am such a sucker for a love story. Even when it doesn’t end well. It really helped me to get into ‘After You’ because I felt I knew the characters a little more! I hope they make ‘After You’ into a film.

Baby has really started experimenting with her sounds lately. Her favourites are Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba and Da Da Da Da Da with the occasional Ma Ma thrown in!

I’ve also been loving Ed Sheeran’s new album (another Mother’s Day present). It’s my must listen to album in the car at the moment and even Little is enjoying it! Supermarket Flowers makes me tear up every time I listen to it but I love it all the same.

We have been busy little bees in the kitchen this month with lots of birthday cakes to make. Little is loving getting more involved in the kitchen! I have also made the decision to quit Slimming World and find a better relationship with food. So far so good and I’m feeling better in myself!

Not sure if it counts but I made the biggest rookie mistake. I went to the toilet with my phone in my back pocket. I think you can probably guess what happened…… Yep my phone went for a swim. I am in the process of claiming through my home insurance because I never got round to taking out phone insurance like a banana! I just cannot wait to have a phone back again. I feel like I’m missing out on so much!

We finally had some warmer days so I’ve used this as an excuse to treat myself to some new clothes. I haven’t brought new clothes in a while because I kept putting it off until I lost the weight I wanted to lose. But that wasn’t happening as fast as I wanted and I was sick of my old wardrobe.

and lastly..

sunny days

I am really enjoying being on maternity leave this time round. In less than 3 months I will be due back to work and I am dreading it! If I could I would stay off for 14 months like I did with Little. If anyone wants to fund my five extra months off work then feel free 😉 I’m not ready to leave my girls just yet! Were having too much fun.

I hope you have all had a lovely week and here is to a new week!

Sounds like a great month. I’ve been meaning to watch (and read Me Before You), and now I have no excuse that it’s on Netflix.

I feel you on the forming a better relationship with food, and in turn the wardrobe front.

Wishing you nothing but wonderfulness for the rest of your maternity leave!

Oh I loved both Me Before You and Me After You. The film of the first one was so well cast and I’d love to see them do Me After You as well. xx

Beauty and The Beast is so good and I’ve heard really good things about Jojo Moyes. I really need to do more baking with my daughter. It’s such a lovely bonding experience. I’ve definitely done this with my phone haha. Oops! I hope you get a new one soon. #littleloves x
