The Girls

On Your 4th Birthday

My dearest Little S,

I feel a little weepy even mentioning the number 4. It sounds like such a big number! Watching you grow from that tiny little 7lb 10oz baby into a happy, confident and knowing 4 year old, has been my absolute pleasure.

There have been some days when I didn’t feel like smiling, but you gave me reason to smile. There have been some days when I didn’t want to leave the house, but you gave me the confidence to! There have been days when I’ve cried and you’ve held me and said “its ok Mummy, don’t cry!” There have been days when I worried about how you’d cope with a new baby, but you exceeded all of my expectations. You took on your role as big sister like an absolute champ! You have changed my life in more ways than I could ever begin to tell you.

If I start explaining each and every one of the traits that I love about you, we’ll be here all day. You are caring, funny, stubborn, sassy and basically a mini version of myself. Your sass is by far my favourite trait of yours (sometimes!). The way you dance around, flicking your hair about, whilst pretending to sing into a microphone with that face you pull (theres probably a video of that somewhere!). Oh and the way you know all the words to the latest songs.

I love how you want to do all the girly things, I dreamed of one day doing with my daughter. Like going for cake, afternoon tea, painting your nails and pretending to do your makeup! When you grow up I think you’ll be a beauty blogger 😉

Happy 4th Birthday

Basically in a nut shell I love absolutely everything about you. Even your stubbornness! I am so so proud of you and so thankful for everything you have brought and continue to bring to my life. I honestly think I got lucky when I got you.

So thank you for being the most amazing 4 year old EVER and thank you for always being willing to be photographed!

Happy 4th Birthday

Happy 4th Birthday Princess,

I love you all the world 🙂 xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  1. This is such a lovely post Amy! It must be scary to have a four year old – I can’t imagine that one bit… I’m assuming she’ll be starting school this September – big girl!

    Much love, Caitylis x x
