Review | Bennetts For Babies

Scarlett has inherited many things from me and unfortunately one of them is dry and sensitive skin. I can only use Fairy Non Bio to wash my clothes and Sanex Shower Gel to wash myself. Anything else irritates my skin.

Scarlett is the same but not quite as bad. She can use Johnsons bath stuff but not every bath time as it really dries out her soft and delicate baby skin. So when I was introduced to Bennetts for Babies and asked if I would like to review some samples I have to admit I was very excited (sad I know!). I have seen the name floating about in the land of Bloggers but I didn’t realise just how big their range was and the story behind it is cute. You can read their story here.

I chose to test out their fragrance free Aqueous Cream and Bath Drops. I haven’t used the cream as much as I have the drops as I’m pretty forgetful but since receiving the drops I think Scarlett has only used Johnsons once.

I have really noticed a difference in Scarlett’s skin since using the Bath Drops. Before she would often have little patches of what I can only explain as irritated skin after a bath. I haven’t noticed any patches like this for a while now. The only down side is that it is not a bubble bath (Scarlett loves playing with bubbles) but then I guess that shows just how gentle it is.

The Aqueous Cream is not one of those heavy creams that sit on your skin for ages yet you can feel it moisturising the skin. I have even used it on my eczema when it gets really itchy.

Overall I would definitely recommend to parents whose babies have sensitive skin. Its taken me a while to find bath products that suit Scarlett’s skin so will be repurchasing when we run out! It’s prefect for the whole family not just babies.

I currently have my eye on the Bum Buddy because it looks like it would save all that time rumaging through my bag whilst ensuring baby doesn’t make an escape attempt!
