Teething With Matchstick Monkey*

I cannot remember when Little started teething but I’m sure she wasn’t this young. Baby seems to be showing signs of teething already and she’s not even three months old! She is constantly dribbling and her hands are always in her mouth.

When Matchstick Monkey approached us, I pretty much bit there hand off.

It was created by a fellow Mama to help apply pain relief gels and granules directly to the source of pain! Matchstick Monkey is made from soft, safe silicone and designed to massage baby’s gums and encourages early oral hygiene.

As I mentioned Baby is not even three months old but she is able to hold her Matchstick Monkey thanks to his extra wide arms. She still isn’t quite sure what to do with it but she enjoys holding it regardless!

I love that Matchstick Monkey is both freezer and dishwasher friendly. This means I can quickly pop it through the dishwasher when Little’s drink leaks all over my changing bag AGAIN! I’m yet to put it in the freezer but I imagine the cold will be a nice relief for sore gums.

For a short time she will allow me to massage her gums using the bumpy part of her monkey. This bumpy part helps to hold pain relief products in place! Although I haven’t used any yet I will probably use granules as I did with Little.

The Matchstick Monkey comes in 8 bright and vibrant colours so there is a colour for everyone. It has an RRP of £9.99 which is around average for teething toys. You can buy it via their website.

What was your teething must have?!

Love this monkey, super sweet and unisex. It took me a long time to find the one with the bumps, which helps massage the little ones guns. Great review.

That is absolutely brilliant!! We have a certain giraffe for the Wee Baby T to chew on, but he can’t get a good grip, and there aren’t a lot of easy places to bite. We’ll need to pick one of these up!
